Three to Be is thrilled to welcome the new ALL ACCES FUND to our list of family support grants. We rolled out the fund for the first time after having been awarded $25,000 to support PAL families. This fund was made possible by the generosity of the John and Myrna Daniels Foundation.
The All Access Fund gives children with special needs the opportunity to ride a bike, go on a boat, toboggan, ice skate, play baseball…the sky’s the limit! We believe breathing fresh air, exercising, being part of nature and having fun should be limitless for EVERY child.
Through this program, we will provide grants up to $500 for families to make outdoor and recreational activities more accessible for kids with special needs through the provision of equipment. This could mean purchasing an adapted bicycle, a special seat to ride in a boat and hit the waves, a sledge to get out on the ice for hockey or an adapted toboggan to bomb down the hills in the snow.
This grant can be used for the purchase of any accessible equipment/adaptation services that will help children with special needs get active and participate in recreational sports. For example, this funding could be used to purchase accessible skis, but can NOT be used to pay for ski lessons (please see Fee Subsidy for this type of funding).
